To navigate through the homepage, you find head lines on the left side that will
lead you to more detailed information.
Short description of idea and intention of material behind the headlines:
Main Page
You will find information on the institutions participating in the ICTaL
learning partnership.
General Aim
This shows the vision of our learning partnership when we started.
Experiences
Experiences made in our daily work as teachers/trainers in our institutions and
more theoretical reflections on the phenomenon of interculturality are shared.
Definitions and Criteria
Many different meanings can be found when using terms or studying literature on
aspects linked with interculturality. Here you will find the result of
discussions we have had during our partner meetings, when we came to a deeper
understanding of our learning partnerships’ issue.
Good practice
We work on two levels:
The institutional level: the progress when our institutions change into a more
multicultural and international working, teaching and learning attitude that
affects habits and overlapping tasks, like curricula, corporate identity and so
on.
Second is the training of teachers: here, single exercises are introduced for
different stages and situations of intercultural teaching and learning.
Workshop
Our workshop “Communication and Understanding Unlimited in Education” in
Berlin (May 16 to 17, 2003) is a product of needs and discussions of all
partners. The programme has been composed of partners’ presentations of local
development, theoretical aspects and practical exercises for InterCultural
Teaching and Learning. In this documentation, you will find the participants’
presentations, the practical exercises and the results.
Links
Another outcome of our learning partnership is the research for literature to
questions of intercultural competence, communication, teaching and learning. A
survey of literature and internet links from different local angles is found
here and will be completed continuously.
