Langerud Nursing Home is situated 10 kilometer north of the center of Oslo. The surroundings are beautiful and rustic. There are approximately 150 patients. The patients are mostly old and they have many serious diagnoses.
The nursing home has eight wards and one daycare centre; two wards for short time users, one ward for security (for old people who for a shorter period don't feel comfortable living on their own) There is also a ward for patients with Alzheimer disease and four ordinary nursing wards.
The building is 30 years old and there are neither toilets nor showers in the patients' rooms. We all look forward to next year because then the nursing home will be completely renovated.
